Formation
A woman who desires to commit herself to the life of a Holy Spirit Missionary Sister begins her life with a period of initial formation. This time extends through the progressive phases of affiliate phase, pre-novitiate, novitiate and temporary commitment. It is a time of study, personal growth, and apostolic experience.
The goals of this time are to deepen one's prayer life, develop understanding and practice of the vowed life, as well as the spirit and charism of the congregation. Opportunities for shared community responsibility and apostolic service afford an opportunity to integrate contemplation and action.
Those who seek admission should have:
- a high school education with the necessary physical & mental health,
- a personal, growing relationship with God,
- a desire to live in a cross-cultural environment,
- a willingness to participate in the ministries of the community,
- a growing capacity to be dedicated, adaptable, resilient and courageous to meet the demands that are part of a missionary way of life,
- a sense of humor.
